The data base Corpus of Antique Works of Art Known by Johann Joachim Winckelmann and his Contemporaries of the Winckelmann-Gesellschaft, Stendal, is being integrated into the Census data base from May 8, 2009 on.

By the cooperation of the Winckelmann-Gesellschaft and the Census of Antique Works of Art and Architecture Known in the Renaissance two data base projects researching the reception of antiquity and dealing with the same problem in different epochs are brought together now. Thus, the user will have the opportunity to investigate the afterlife of antique monuments from the Renaissance up to the 18th century. At the same time, the document data of each project can still be searched individually.

The transfer of the data from the Corpus Winckelmann to the Census data base will be carried out step by step.

For further information see Corpus Winckelmann.
