Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin | Institut für Kunst- und Bildgeschichte
Project
The Census of Antique Works of Art and Architecture Known in the Renaissance is an interdisciplinary project dedicated to the reception of antiquity.
Database
At the core of the Census is its database, which records ancient monuments known in the Renaissance with over 200,000 entries (both images and texts).
Research
The Census regularly initiates new research topics as well as focused projects that expand the contents of the database.
Publications
Pegasus has been the annual journal of the Census project, while conference proceedings and monographs have been published at irregular intervals in the series Cyriacus.
Linked Projects
Linked projects and externally-financed projects have opened up topics that go beyond the immediate priorities of the Census and have enriched the database with their contents.
